One day...one contract...

Our house went on the market yesterday and we already have an offer. I am waiting for my agent to call with the numbers...money talks! I hope they understand how much hard work I put into this house and how well I have kept up with it and that they don't low ball me right off the bat.
We went to pick out all of our flooring for the new house yesterday and that makes me very excited about getting this project started. I am still having sad feelings about leaving my little house, it is my first house, I brought my first baby home here and it has been my home since 01'. That is awhile and I have lots of memories here. I will make wonderful new memories in my new house though and I am excited about starting this new journey. I am a little worried about how things will pan out with living arrangements until the new house is done, but I will cross that bridge when I have to. I will keep you updated on the offer.
BTW...Lucas is cutting his molars I think, crabby and has a slight fever. I think he is teething or coming down with something..had some yucky poo poo this am, so I am hoping he starts feeling better. He is napping and I am going to start laundry and anxiously wait for this offer to come in.

Dust is gross

I have been cleaning most of the afternoon and evening and this house is so dusty. Where does dust come from and why so much. The green pollen is everywhere and on everything because I turned the attic fan on the other day. That is gross too. What does dust do for me? I have most the upstairs clean, ceiling fans, windows. All I really have left is the basement and the floors. I hate cleaning floors with a passion, that is why I saved it for last.
Picked out all the siding, shutters, mantle, marble...etc... for the new house. It is all still surreal and I hope all goes as planned.
Lucas did better at swim class but still did not participate with the rest of the class. Billy said he started to cry and they got in the pool and splashed for awhile. He said they just went up and down the pool steps the whole time. This totally shocks me because the kid loves water, the ocean and all of that. I am not sure whats up besides it is right around his nap time. Tomorrow I am finishing cleaning, making a quick trip up to d-town for Timmy's benefit(R.I.P Timmy....we miss you:) and then getting ready to start showing this house.

Colors...

We have a appointment to pick out colors and other items for the new house today. I am the most indecisive person, so I hope that the lady leads me in the right direction and doesn't let me pick out something that will be awful looking. We took a drive out there last night and walked around our lot. The guy that will be our new neighbor across the street came over to chat. Super nice guy, he let us walk thru his house and gave us some pointers. It was so peaceful out there and we have a great view.

Lucas is at swim class with daddy and I hope it goes better than last week. He is going over to play with his cousins while we have our appointment today. I am finishing up the packing and getting ready to start some deep cleaning. We will start showing the house on Thursday! I feel weird that people are going to be walking thru my house...I wish I had one of those cameras so I could see what they say. Anybody else love Sell that House? I am obsessed...I hope I picked up some good pointers from them and we get a buyer QUICK!

Lots to say....Lots to do!

For Sale Coming Soon sign in the front yard. Lots of boxing up and moving stuff into storage the past few days. Trying to stage the rooms, make things look bigger. This is a hard task because the rooms and the house are small. The realtor had five calls the first day with people interested and has appointments already booked for Thursday and Friday. Lots of pressure, had two crying spells already and I am not doing well. I am sad, scared and a little freaked out..my house doesn't seem so homey to me anymore because all my pics are down and anything personal is stored and stacked in the storage unit. To all that don't know, we put a contract on a lot and are planning to build a new home in Eureka,MO...very pretty out there and we fell in love with the house. Great school district, close to Six Flags, subdivision pool, brand new subdivision, close to hwy. Downsides are farther from work for me, may need to daycare Lucas(MIL may not drive that far), totally new area to learn my way around. Not to many downsides, lets just cross our fingers that everything goes as planned.

Swim class..not so good

Lucas had his first swim class Saturday..can you tell how much he loved it! I hope next week is better or its 70 dollars down the drain...cross your fingers. This kid has been in the ocean and knocked down by waves..why so scared of a little pool! He was very tired that morning and I think he is cutting his molars, so I am feeling like next week will be better.

It has been a busy weekend and I am exhausted...lots of things going on...will update with you all this week. I am going to bed..

It was a good day

Yesterday Lucas and I went to the zoo with the Stroller Strides group. It was the perfect weather and all the animals were out and active. He loved the zebra who was acting silly and making some funky noises. We had lunch and rode the carousel before he fell asleep in the stroller. We came home where Cisco(my maintenance man) was power washing and cleaning up the outside of the house. It looks great and things are coming along nicely. I have started going thru closets and getting things organized. My goal is to be ready to move some things into storage next weekend and then get the house cleaned in order to put on the market. We are going to meet the realtor Sunday and look at a knew area out in Eureka. I really did not want to move out to far, but you get so much more for your money and the school district is one of the two that I was leaning towards. We shall see, it should be a busy summer.
Lucas has his first swim class this morning with Billy. This will be a daddy and Lucas event on Saturday mornings and daddy is looking forward to that. Mommy is also, so I can work out:) Which I have been so bad about since coming back from Mexico....I need to get back on the ball!

Hunting eggs at Aunt Nickies Easter Sunday.

Short and sweet...catching up on my lack of posts last week. I could go on and on with the details, but in a nutshell we had a awesome week visiting family and celebrating Lucas' first Easter hunting eggs. The weather could be better and I am ready for the warm up to start. Lucas decided to start throwing fits on Easter, screaming VERY LOUD when I told him no-no or took something away from him. I tried to ignore him and get his attention diverted to something else, but how do you teach a 15 month old baby to knock it off! Is this really early to be throwing fits. Ma Ma Nancy said she had to "put" him in time out today for hitting...not sure how long he stayed or if he got it, but he is starting to be bad....I think I am in for it!
