Nine months old....already?

Here are a few of the pics of our session with Jodie. Lucas looks like such a stud in his hat. My dad thinks he looks like a little 1940's baby. He is getting so big and does something new everyday. He is doing the funniest thing with his eyebrows lately. I tried to get a picture of it today, but no cooperation. He did cooperate for Jodie though, they are amazing!

Safety first!

This morning was all about safety. We went to the dealership because my tire pressure was low in my left rear tire. There was a huge screw in my tire, thank god I went in because Lucas and I are going to D-town this weekend. I would have hated to have a flat on the hwy with him in tow. He was quite the entertainment for all the old ladies in the waiting room, he was his usual charming self. Just jabbering away and they were loving it. It is so amazing what a baby does to people, it brings out the best. Then we went down to the Mehlville fire station were we had the car seat checked. We bought a larger seat for Lucas, since he is a big boy now and it just did not seem right. It moved a lot and did not seem safe. They do safety checks on seats and we lucked out today because we got two young cute fireman to wait on us. They were very nice and helpful and the seat is much more stable and I feel better. It was quite the highlight of my day, talking to two studs in uniform. To bad I did not have some of my single lady friends in tow. We have to buy another one today so whoever wants to go with me next time, call!
I am typing this in the car on my laptop, Lucas is sleeping in the comfy new car seat and then we are off to lunch and shopping.
I will post pics tomorrow of my little Batman.

Duh....!!!

Hello, duh!!! My last post was titled retail therapy, but I failed to even go there. I got caught up talking about the gym and childcare germs that I forgot to talk about my much needed shopping excursion. After the gym I went to Macy's and got some killer boots, a great pair of jeans for a awesome deal and some cute sweaters. I just love Macy's, they have the best deals. Anyway, my point is go to Macy's, they are having a killer shoe sale! Happy Shopping!

Retail therapy:)

Last night when Billy got home, I did the hand off and I was out the door. I needed a break and just some me time. I went to the gym for the first time in a while. I put the headphones on and watched Ugly Betty and ran on the treadmill for 45 minutes. It was heaven, I felt so good afterwards. I checked out the childcare there to see what it was like. I am a little freaked out about taking him there, but I am going to give it a try soon. I want to wait until after his surgery and when he is healed. I don't want him to get sick, and I am sure it is a germfest in there. If he has any kind of upper respiratory or even a runny nose, he can't have surgery. I am hoping to keep him healthy for the next two weeks. Cross your fingers, it seems like everybody is sick.
Looking forward to heading to Decatur this weekend. It has been forever since we have made a trip up, since my cousins wedding in August. My mom and Al are having a hayride and bonfire so it should be fun. I am going to bundle Lucas up and he is going to have a ball with all his cousins.
Everyone have a great weekend!

Holy Batman...jumping bean!

This is our little jumping bean, he can now get up and hold onto the rails and jump. We just lowered his bed a few days ago and putting him to bed since has been a challenge. We have our regular bedtime routine with dinner, bath, bottle and bed. I usually give him his bottle while I rock him to sleep. After he has his bottle and is asleep,I put him in his crib and he wakes right up. He then starts jumping. It is like he knows when I put him in bed and then he thinks its time to play. Maybe his sleep schedule is changing and he will be staying up later, but this kid gets a sudden burst of energy. This is a challenge for me because this is my time to get stuff done. I stayed up until midnight last night just doing odds and ends. Getting stuff done during the day now is hard, he is constantly pulling up and I know the one time I turn away he will fall and have an injury.
We went to get his Halloween costume last night. Lucas got scared at the store, there was some gross mannequin that made weird noises and his brain popped out of his head. He just stared at it and then puckered up and started crying. Billy then started putting on all the masks and got some giggles out of him. We went to two stores and ended up getting him the Batman costume. We put the mask on him to see if he would tolerate it and he just grunted. It is pretty cute and not to confining.

Soooo Big!

This is him playing on the floor with all his toys. We have to really pad the floors with blankets and I use an foam pad. He will have to wear a helmet when he starts walking , we have all hardwood and tile floors.

We say this all the time to Lucas and he loves to throw his hands up in the air. Here are a few pics I took today, Isn't he getting so big. I think he is looking a little more like his daddy. Whatcha think?
