Had to post this pick..he looks so big! He is trying to talk up a storm and can say Blu, Stanley, bye bye and lots more. He is really picking up words like crazy. We have a crazy weekend ahead, more visiting with friends that are in back home. Headed to d-town tomorrow and staying thru sunday. The house is coming along, drywalled and the garage doors are up. I will post some pics next week of the house, they should start bricking the front then. It is coming along great and have lots of ideas and plans for when we move in.

Getting better everyday

Things are getting better here in the John's household
1. Our loan has been finalized and signed off on, it has been a long two months!!!
2. The new house is coming along great. They poured the driveway and are started the siding this week. Completion date is Aug. 28 and we should close mid September.
3. Lucas slept much better last night. He woke up a couple times early in the night, but slept for a large chunk without waking up. Those molars on the bottom are just about to pop through.
4. Looking forward to the next couple weekends to hang out with my besties! We are having a girls/slumber party this weekend and I can hardly wait. We don't get together often because we live so far apart, so looking so forward to hanging out with them!
Today we have Lucas' 18 month check up and lunch with aunt Nicke, maybe Splash City if it doesn't rain. Hopefully he wont be so crabby today...these teeth are just making him miserable.

Family....teething...great weather, that about sums it up.

We had an AWESOME weekend. Friday we started out the weekend here in Eureka. Every third Friday of the month they block the main drag off and have music and all the restaurant have food outside on the patios. The weather was great and we meet some people. Lucas got to see the firetruck and really loved the trains coming through. We really feel at home here and love the small town feel. Saturday morning we packed up the car and headed up to Carlinville for my moms side family weekend. The bummer part was Lucas is cutting molars, so Saturday he ran a fever all day and was not like himself at all. The Tylenol finally broke his fever right about the time we were leaving. It was almost a blessing in disguise because he was really snugly to anyone that was holding him and we didn't have to worry about chasing him all over and worrying about him near the water. Today he has been better, he had a long nap and is already in bed for the night. The picture is of the boys napping, like father like son.

End of August..holy crap!

This house is coming along very quickly! They are plumbing, doing electrical and heating and cooling this week. They poured the garage and will be pouring the basement floor this week also. The sales manager told Billy on Sunday that the completion date will be August 28th. That is in six weeks and that will make it three months that they built it. It is crazy to think that they can build a house in three months. Our new lender has been working with us daily to get the conditions met to get final loan approval. It has been the longest, hardest and most frustrating journey getting this loan finalized, I would not wish this on my worst enemy. The lending laws change on a daily basis and the underwriters require so much paperwork and explanations, it is CRAZY! We are paying for all of those people that got loans they could not afford and foreclosed on their homes. Every week for the last month they have wanted more info, either on the business taxes, tax returns, blah, blah ,blah! We should be done and just waiting for the final word from the underwriters..hopefully today.

If it wasn't for these two...

If it wasn't for these two, I would have never made it through the last two months. Selling a house, emotional break downs, moving and dealing with all of the stress.

If it wasn't for these two, some days I would just stay in bed!

If it wasn't for these two, my life would be incomplete!

If it wasn't for these two, I would not be the luckiest lady in the world, I have a handsome little boy and an even more handsome husband and my life would be empty. Staying positive.....its been a rough couple months and just counting my blessings.

Look at me, I can fly!

Since it rained all day on Saturday, Billy thought that throwing the kids up in the air onto the bed was a good idea! Lucas loved it, screamed "more" over and over, he also learned how to slide off the bed to the floor very fast for his next turn. We had a great weekend with family and Lucas did awesome on the boat, even napped Friday afternoon for over an hour down in the cabin. Great weekend, great family.

Holy Guacamole!

Lucas LOVES Guacamole! When we go out for Mexican, which is every Friday night now, we get him his own bowl of it. He eats every last bit of it and just mmmm's the whole time. To funny how he is just like his mommy and daddy and loves Mexican food.

He had a much better day at daycare yesterday. When we went to pick him up he was sitting on the teachers lap reading a book. As soon as he seen us he started crying. They said they kept him very busy so he stayed up thru his morning nap and took a two hour nap in the afternoon. He ate his lunch and loved the chex mix they had for a snack. I think this will get easier every day that he goes. The teacher is just awesome and they even got his binky and blanket away from him for while. He even went to sleep with out his bink. That is craziness. For the last couple of weeks through the packing and moving he has become very attached to the bink and blanket. He carries it around everywhere now, I just don't have the heart to be strict about it right now, he needs that security for a bit.

We are getting packed and ready for the weekend at Rend lake. Walmart run and doing laundry are on the to do list. I took some pics of the new house last night, I will post them later.
